Adaptive Fun for Everyone
We are committed to making our summer program accessible to all, taking into account swimming ability and physical challenges. Our expertly trained team and adaptive equipment ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
We provide flotation vests and use a variety of modified and standard recreation equipment, along with our skilled staff of recreation therapists, lifeguards, licensed boat operators, and expertly trained volunteers, to safely introduce the excitement and adventure of these sports to each participant.
Participants must be to be able to hold their breath and right themselves from a face-down position within 10 seconds. Certain disabilities or other factors may limit or prevent in water participation. However, we’ll work with you to find alternative ways to experience the fun! There will be an opportunity to discuss the participant's needs and answer any questions in the registration process. Call (909) 584-0269 with any questions.

How does the reservation request system work to register for a session?After you request a reservation for a specific session on this website, USARC will contact you to confirm your registration, or offer a different session based upon availability. Payment information will be given at the time your reservation is confirmed.

What activities are included in the USARC Summer Program?The USARC Summer Program offers a variety of exciting activities, including: Water Skiing & Paddle Sports Adventure Paddle Sports & Fishing Snow Summit Adventure Days (including a climbing wall, tubing, scenic sky chair, zip line, bungee trampoline, and Snow Summit Mining Co.) Overnight Sessions at Serrano Campground

Are there any prerequisites for participating in water activities?Participants must be able to hold their breath and right themselves from a face-down position in 10 seconds or less. USARC will work with individuals who have disabilities or other factors limiting participation to find alternative ways to experience the fun.

Is adaptive equipment provided for participants with disabilities?Yes, USARC provides flotation vests, modified and standard recreation equipment, and expertly trained staff and volunteers to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

What are the fees for the USARC Summer Sessions?Water Skiing & Paddle Sports Adventure: $160 per person Paddle Sports & Fishing or Snow Summit Adventure Day Sessions: $50 per person Overnight Sessions at Serrano Campground: $325 per person Please note that an annual registration fee is also required: $35 for individuals, $50 for families, and $100 for groups. Lesson fees are due two weeks before your reserved date and are non-refundable

What should I bring to the overnight sessions?Please bring your own tent, sleeping bag and a washable or utensils, and any personal items you need.

Can friends and family join the Overnight Sessions?Yes, non-disabled family, friends, and aides of participants with disabilities are welcome to join the Overnight Sessions. Everyone is required to pay the fee to fully participate, and non-paying guests may not attend.

Are meals provided during the summer program?Meals are not provided during single-day sessions. For Overnight Sessions, a campfire snack on the first evening and all meals through lunch on the last day are included in the session fee.

Is transportation provided to and from Serrano Campground?No, daily transportation to and from Serrano Campground is not provided by USARC.
